I'm Roby Babcock, Marketing Director at Iseli Nursery, one of the country's premier wholesale growers of dwarf conifers and Japanese maples, located in Boring, Oregon. It's a role that brings together everything I love: plants, design, photography, and the art of telling a compelling story.

I grew up in Banks, Oregon, earned a B.A. in International Studies at the University of Oregon (where I also met my husband Eric), and went on to complete a Master's in Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona. After seven years in the Tucson desert, the Pacific Northwest called us home.

Moving back to Oregon reignited my passion for the outdoors and sent me down a photography path I never expected. Hiking every trail I could find, I built a photography and social media practice that introduced me to a wide range of people and opportunities. Over the years I had the privilege of working with brands like Hurtta, Mud Bay, Petcurean, Spot Farms, Daniel Wellington, Pabst, and MVMT.

At Iseli, I bring all of that together. I oversee photography, social media, the website, the catalog, and garden tours, and every day I'm learning something new about the remarkable cultivars Iseli grows. For a native Oregonian with a lifelong passion for plants and design, it's hard to imagine a better place to land.
